| Your E-Mail: chibicavan@yahoo.comHuman name: Lovino Vargas Country's name: South Italy (Romano) Personality section: Upon first glance, Lovino is rude, short-tempered, crude, and a generally unpleasant person. He frowns or glares more often than he smiles. When he’s around women he’ll generally relax and turn on the charm, but tends to get nervous and self-conscious when his affections are returned. Although, around men he will put up the appearance of being a tough guy, unafraid to throw around insults and cuss even without being truly angry. Sensitive at heart, he’ll use his temper to cover up being embarrassed, not knowing something or feeling hurt. It often takes a fair amount of effort to get him to show his true feelings, but he does blush easily, something that has never failed to get him teased. He is every bit a coward when it comes to a real fight – unless the fight is something he intended on – or really just about anything that he thinks might cause him pain. He is often lazy, preferring the easy life, but he’ll work hard when he does set his mind to a task. He’s very resentful that his brother is usually the favorite with the other nations between the two of them, and doesn’t have many close relationships with the other nations because of his attitude, but he is who he is, and anyone who doesn’t want to bother looking past his flaws – in his opinion – can go away. He’s also very used to people getting close to him who aren’t interested in anything other than obtaining a piece of him or using him to get close to his brother and then casting him aside, so he is quite distrustful of the majority of people he comes in contact with. If he’s feeling particularly spiteful, he’ll give out nicknames such as eyebrow-bastard, wine/pervert-bastard, tomato-bastard, or any other insult he can think of instead of using a name, although sometimes these names stick even after he’s become a friend. At the same time, he loves his brother dearly, and although he often gets in spats with North Italy, he tries his best to be a good older brother, wanting nothing more than to make sure Feliciano doesn’t get himself hurt. In his spare time he likes to cook, draw or paint, and garden, gaining a love of tomatoes in particular after Antonio brought them over from his voyages. He also loves pasta, pizza, coffee and wine (or just about anything Italian), though is picky when it comes to what’s put in front of him. If he thinks he can get away with it without embarrassing himself, he also enjoys singing. Roleplay sample: Lovino hated the job of cleaning Antonio’s attic the moment he’d first stepped into the dust-covered space. It was dark, nearly every box having at least one spider web attached to it. If the Spaniard hadn’t offered to make lunch as he worked, treat him to his favorite restaurant and after that give a massage, he wouldn’t have agreed to help out. However, he wasn’t sure where to even start cleaning. When was the last time Antonio had been up here? A few centuries ago? Grumbling, then yelling down the ladder that his dinner and massage better be ‘fucking mind-blowing’, he decided to start with an old chest. He coughed as he dusted the top off, then opened it to see what was even inside. The Italian’s eyebrows rose when he caught sight of a familiar pair of tiny shoes. They were one of his first gifts from Spain if he remembered correctly. “He kept these?” he questioned as he brought them up to the nearest light source and examined them before giving a scoff. “Figures he would.” The dark brown leather used to be high-quality, shiny and soft, but was now stiff, dull and cracked with age. Lovino still remembered first receiving them, the tiny nation instantly dismissing them as un-needed and complaining how Antonio didn’t even pick out a pair of shoes he liked. Secretly, though, he’d been touched by the gesture. His feet had started to hurt in his old shoes when he walked around because he’d grown, although he hadn’t said a word about his pain to his ‘boss’. He’d denied it at first, but later came to accept that Antonio had indeed started to see him as more than just another conquest and someone to help with work around the house. It was the kind of love he hadn’t received in a very long time, and although he was loathe to admit it to anyone, he clung to the feeling. Anything Else?: Lovino finds being in his garden awesome, and isn’t overly fond of tea – unless it’s with a pretty girl. | |
