About the Voting for the new AU!

Okay, so you guys have probably noticed two very important things:

1. The polls (once here) are gone. I PROMISE I HAVE A REASONABLE EXPLANATION FOR DOING WHAT I DID, which I will explain...now~


First, Kiku was an idiot and didn't count how many new AU suggestions and ideas we have. As a forum, we have produced and talked about 28 new AU ideas...and I'm sure you guys have MORE up your sleeves too! *faints*

If you also noticed, we were voting 4 at a time...which means that it would have taken us SEVEN polls to get through our first elimination round. The reality of voting is, usually it's better to vote out a larger chunk first, rather than voting in microscopic bits and bites here and there.

HENCE THE DELETION OF THE POLLS! It was not because Kiku didn't like the results (In fact, Kiku is MOST excited about how things are going), rather, because of Kiku running some actual math AND for the sake of practicality...for you guys XD

2. NEW POLLS ARE GOING UP NOW!

To make up for Kiku's idiocy (trust me, I'm kicking myself right now and ready to get shoes thrown at me for this D: ), new polls will be put up ASAP (between today and tomorrow), complete with as many of the AU descriptions as possible.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

Yes, you will have to vote again...and for that, I feel most terrible. However, this will ultimately be a more efficient and less time-consuming way to vote for everyone, as well as get us our new AU results MUCH FASTER than the previous method. Again, feel free to throw shoes at Kiku...for trying to put this together without actually doing some simple counting x.x

*clings to Toni* I'm so sorry about all of that! I honestly knew we had a lot of AUs...but then when I recounted (including the Wingtalia and the Warriors series AU ideas) I realized we had enough to make giant polls leading to smaller ones...after I'd already made the smaller ones *headdesks*

But I too am super excited to see what we get! And as before, just because it doesn't win this time doesn't mean we'll never do it! ^_^

Yep XD sorry for waiting so long before bringing my suggestions up. >>; I'm happy to see them on the polls, but there are lots of other AUs that sound really cool too, so I'm sure I'll be happy no matter what! *u*

I'm excited as well! I have so many ideas in my head and there are so many good AU suggestions. Its going to be a tough call.

DRIVE BY ANNOUNCEMENT!

The polls will close TOMORROW, at 11:59PM EST (that is, both poll 1 and 2)

In the event of a tie where the top 3 candidates cannot be determined, a secondary vote will take place, in which case the members will vote for TWO of the THREE AU choices.

The next round will be posted either tonight or tomorrow, with the final round in the first set following that.

Finally, Poll #4 is up. It is the last poll in the first round, unless there is a tie in votes for the top three spots to move on to the next round.

VOTING FOR THE LAST TWO POLLS will close on Thursday, 11:59 EST. The results will be tallied and the next round of voting (or any tiebreakers) will appear the next day.

Additionally, once the first round of voting is complete, this global announcement will shrink and just become a regular announcement in the Forum Updates section, so check there for more updates on the polls~! <3

A Tiebreaker poll has appeared, due to the three-way tie in the 3rd poll! Before the next round is posted, please vote there so we can decide the AU that moves on to join the rest for the next elimination!

You will have until Saturday, June 22nd, 11:59PM EST to cast your votes. Our new AU is coming closer and closer! ^_^

Two tiebreaker polls have been posted. Please cast your votes before Wednesday, June 26th at 11:59PM EST (because Kiku goes to bed right at midnight *shot for lies*), as the polls will close then.

If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask.

If your AU did not make it, you can also consider starting RPs in the Non-Themed sections. Non-Themed is a wonderful way to gather interest in an idea, as well as to simply have a place to have fun and RP more casually than the stricter plot-driven themes. Please remember that you must be active in the main AUs before you can post in the non-themed section. (But you guys are always active, so I'm never worried about silly things like that ^^)

I have two new AU ideas.

Scaled to map- land area equals height. Used Canada to set the scale and- 1 foot of Canada’s height being equivalent to 32,117.38 square miles of landmass, use that to calculate for your character(s).

Scaled to Population- Take the list here- move the decimal in the percentage over one to the right. That is the character's height in feet.

Since we've already progressed through this particular voting group, I'll have to add those AUs to the AU master list for the next time we do voting x.x
