| The first post here is about the genuine Kiku, which only a few people have met outside of club hours/outside of the club. After this, the other 'personae' profiles are posted below to help everyone keep them straight/flesh them out better. You could say this is a glimpse into Kiku's strange head, perhaps? Under the spoiler tags are his relationships with his other personae.*** Character Name: Kiku Honda Age: 20 Appearance: Not much is known about Kiku other than that he is about 5’5”, has brown eyes, and black hair. Occasionally, when called abruptly into the club or visited unannounced, traces of his performing personae (such as painted fingernails or dyed strands of hair) can be spotted. Other than these small, unintentional slips of character, he keeps himself as devoid of anything pertaining to his club personae as possible, sometimes showering several times during the day in order to wash away the evidence of his nightlife. He dresses casually in plain t-shirts and jeans, preferring to blend in with crowds in order to try to keep his 'connection' with his personae as secret as possible. He is slender and effeminate, but muscular due to his actual job. To the few that have met him outside of his performances and personae of Thorny Rose, his brown eyes always seem a bit dull and distant, as if he is off in his own world. When at home in his flat, he often wears a pencil tucked behind his ear and carries around a sketchpad, in order to capture any inspiration for new personae or costumes for Thorny Rose. if one was observant enough (or if one got to know him somehow) they would see that his fingers were calloused (from the sewing he does). Customer or Club Employee?: Kiku is a former patron and current employee, though he does not make appearances at the club as himself. If you're an employee, what type of job do you have?He is the 'boss' of the personae that he plays, often referred to as 'cousin', 'relative' or simply Kiku by his other personae, as if they are separate from him. He only visits the club as himself when called by Arthur, most often to apologize for Kaze's behavior. He rarely permits those in the club to get to know him as Kiku, though a few exceptions (e.g. Arthur) exist. Other than his infrequent visits to the club, he stays as far away from it as possible. Sexuality:Gender does not matter to him. However, since he considers himself the boss responsible for his personae, he avoids sex and anything that will get him in trouble (though that doesn't always work out so well for him). He will however, actively participate in sexual acts if it means helping keep the peace between himself and the owner, though that does not mean he is less than shy or embarrassed over it. Personality: Generally, he is quiet and only speaks when the situation calls for it. He prefers solitude, often using the time to create new costumes or develop his stage personae. When spoken to, he speaks politely to everyone and has been told quite frequently that it is hard to tell what he is thinking. Despite this, he is easy to converse with and will generally listen to people without complaint or hint of boredom. Although he does not show it, people that are very different from him are fascinating. He avoids sex and sexual relations, trying to appear the responsible boss of his personae though it is very clear he is quite experienced in sexual matters. The few times he frequents the club as himself, he is often nervous, wondering what he has done incorrectly to attract the attention of the owner. Although he knows differently, he will not openly admit the club owner does in fact own him...as well as fascinate him. He refers to his other personae as his family, even when speaking to Arthur about them. Kiku acts as the mediator between the owner and his own peculiar behaviors, doing whatever he can to keep the peace (generally due to something he did that he doesn't necessarily remember all too well...). The owner, along with few precious others, manage to somehow bring out his more adventurous and fun-loving nature, which Kiku tries to save for the club rather than his personal life. Despite his seemingly nervous behavior around the owner or club workers when outside of work, he truly enjoys his work...or rather, seeing his personae doing well (which in turn means he is succeeding). Background: Born into a family that believed in saving money and honorable living, Kiku learned both his skill with the needle and thread as well as his acting at a very young age. Neutral expressions saved him the wrath of his parents, who constantly reminded him that he would grow up to carry on the family business of sewing dresses for brides-to-be. Secretly, Kiku began to sew his own garments, fascinated by the rebellious styles of the Visual Kei, Lolitas, punk…any style that his parents absolutely abhorred and forbade in their home. To escape the doldrums of his home life, Kiku began to create alternate personae as he completed his outfits. By day, he was Kiku Honda, the boy who helped alter wedding dresses. By night or in secret, Kiku became the sweet Lolita known as Ame (meaning ‘candy’ in Japanese), or the Gothic punk known as Kaze (meaning ‘wind’). As his parents became stricter, his personae became wilder and more elaborate, almost to the point where he began to wander the town at night, introducing himself in clubs or in back alleys as his personae. He dressed each one in a distinct style and color, and soon the town whispered about him. Eventually, his wanderings brought him to an underground night club in his neighborhood. Dressed as his persona of a Japanese-American apathetic rebel named Nara, he decided to see what the club was all about. To his surprise, the club turned out to be a strip club, with performers that seemed to form personae like his (without the restriction of parental supervision). Fascinated by the hierarchy of the strip club, Kiku began to secretly advertise his services as a traveling dancer and performer. By the time his parents got wind of his actions, Kiku had earned enough money to leave their home and strike out on his own. He continued to travel, offering his services to anyone who found him interesting enough. However, he never stayed in one place very long, preferring to travel in order to gain inspiration for new personae. In time, his wanderings brought him to London, and straight to the doors of The Thorny Rose. At first he simply attended as a patron, though his different outfits and personalities attracted the attention of the owner. Kiku as himself rarely visits the club, unless summoned, but to those who look close enough (or know his secret) they can easily catch little hints from his various personae. He resides in his own little fiat a few blocks from the club, though only a handful of people know where that is. Things you are willing to do (threesomes, BDSM, etc):Kiku is not into anything, and yet at the same time into everything. Because he is truly the man playing many parts, each part reflects some aspect of sex that he likes, or that he is willing to do. (Better descriptions for each personae will be in their respective profile) Things you will not do (non-con, shota, etc):Kiku as any of his personae will refuse to do anything with drastic age differences, that is, he will never have sex with someone much older or much younger than he is, regardless of the personae he is playing. The reaction of the personae will determine just how...violent...his refusal is, but so far nothing the club has done has breached his comfort zone. He also refuses to do anything...overly strange (e.g. he's not into animals, dead bodies, and a few other strange things that would make a sane person gag) Relationships with his other (currently existing) personae:- Spoiler:
(Other than the obvious 'he's kinda them and sees himself as responsible for them' thing)
Ai-chan - Calls Kiku father or cousin, depending. They seem to have no relation other than that she is Kiku's 'erotic career' cross-dressing persona. Ame - Retired persona invented by Kiku when he started performing, though Kiku is considering bringing her out of retirement with a few modifications... Kaze - Calls Kiku boss. Kiku's sole purpose in his life is to keep Kaze from doing anything that will get him fired. Nara - calls Kiku 'cousin' (when he remembers his relation to him). Kiku's sole relationship with Nara is to try to piece him back together after his trips. Nei-chan - Calls Kiku 'cousin'. She is the easiest to talk to about Kiku's personal life outside of the club, and his his 'traditionalist' side. She is the most conservative of the bunch in dress and manner.

| This post is the same profile, but for each of his personae, hidden under spoilers to save space. The character's name will be above the spoiler tags.Character Name: Kaze - Spoiler:
Self-described "Gothic Punk"
Age: 19-20 (hard to tell, and he won't share)
Appearance: Kaze's style of dress is based heavily off of the Gothic-Punk style, and he dresses similarly (to his annoyance) to his cousin, Nara. His typical choice in dress is a solid, dark-colored tank top under a leather jacket. When out working for his gang, the jacket conceals his weapons and tools, which vary depending on the mission he is undertaking. He will occasionally wear leather gloves, mostly to hide the residual traces of polish used by his 'family' members. He accessorizes based on the color he is wearing in his hair, down to the chains that decorate his pants or neck. Sometimes, for the sake of a performance, he'll sport a black or dark-colored collar. Kaze avoids makeup, but when he does apply any it is usually black to accent his eyes. His sole goal with his dress is to not only come off as rough, but to also bring out the slight paleness in his skin. He usually sports black leather or simply plain black pants, tucked into heavy combat boots.
He is the most likely to get up on stage in a wild costume (or almost nothing at all), or whatever his performance demands. When not performing, he can usually be seen at the bar or in the corner, smoking and drinking (as lightly as he feels like).
Customer or Employee?: Both. Customer often convinced to be performer. He has declared The Thorny Rose his meeting place with the local gang leader who owns part of the territory, to whom he also belongs and shows loyalty. Although he is still technically owned by Thorny Rose, he often does things that cause Kiku to have to come in and apologize for him...though he would never hurt a patron. The gang leader often helps to keep him in check as well, though not nearly as well as Kiku.
If you're an Employee, what type of job do you have?: Performer, and his performances vary from mock fights to rather wild shows. He's the wild card of Kiku's personae, and he knows it and is willing to show it.
Sexuality: If asked, he'll either tell you to fuck off or shrug and ask 'who the fuck cares?!' To anyone who gets to know him well enough (or manages to pull the information out of one of Kiku's OTHER personae), Kaze is bi. Kaze is not a strong believer in the concept of 'love', though sex is pretty damn clear to him!
Distinguishing Characteristics/Personality: Kaze is the persona of red, deep green, or other deep colors. He too will dye streaks of his hair in his respective colors, though sometimes he can be seen with Nara's purple or blue (thanks to his relative's outings the night before). If the club was collecting a swear jar, Kaze would be dirt poor, as he is known for his inventive (and not so inventive) language. Of all of Kiku's personae, Kaze represents the most sexual and outgoing. He is a big fan of 'anything and everything' when it comes to sex, though he occasionally has to watch what he does for the sake of his 'family'. He is the most likely of Kiku's personae to get up on stage impromptu, drink excessively, or go overboard in general on whatever he is doing. He is also a smoker, though he refrains from doing so around his gang leader (as the man does not like it). He is the most 'dominant' of Kiku's personae, but he is just as easily able to act submissive though he'll claim to hate it. Because of his 'everything and anything' policy, he is also the easiest of Kiku's personae to 'mess with', making a lot of his encounters with both patrons and coworkers some of the most intriguing to Kiku himself.
He is the only one of Kiku's personae to actively carry weaponry on him, though while working at the club he refrains. He is not shy about his skills in fighting, as he uses them to defend his gang leader. While it is unknown if Kaze has actually killed anyone, it seems likely due to his personality and line of work. However, no one has bothered to ask him...not like he'd talk about it if he did.
He is extremely loyal to his gang, with seemingly secondary loyalty to the club where he works. In truth, he is not nearly as rough as he seems and has utter loyalty to both of his employers. He has a keen eye for detail and actually cares and thinks highly of everyone he has met through his time at the club. However, his rather blunt and loud characteristics often cause him to get in trouble, especially with the owner. But if anything were to happen to Arthur, he would do whatever it took to kick the S.O.B.'s ass who thought it funny to mess around. he is the only one of Kiku's personae to have an extensive (though made up) back story, which is actually a modified version of Kiku's own life story up to his time finding the club (though only a few know this). His gang leader, one of the few to know both Kaze and Kiku well enough, is currently catching Kaze's eye as a potential 'more than just boss and gang member' scenario.
Things you are willing to do (threesomes, BDSM, etc):
Kaze is one of the most outgoing. He's up for anything and everything (with very few exceptions). He's the one who can take the most beating, or give the most in return. He'll never intentionally hurt someone, though he is willing to have rough foreplay or sex if asked/requested. He's careful to space out these times with others though, to protect his other 'family' members and his cousin/boss (Kiku)
Things you will not do (non-con, shota, etc):
Despite his 'everything and anything' sort of attitude, Kaze would never be caught dead with...a dead body, a young boy/girl, or an old man/woman. In fact, if ever anyone were to propose he do such a thing, he might just beat them bloody. It's not that he's afraid of the consequences (fuck consequences), but despite his rough appearance he does have certain standards.
He will also never force someone. He is highly against it, which is a reflection of Kiku's refusal to remain a slave to his parents' desires for him to sew wedding dresses all his life. He also will not fuck animals, or people faking it. He'd rather get Kiku fired than put his ass (or dick) on the line for that. Secretly, he does look out for Kiku in this way, though usually it just gets him in trouble.
Relationships with his other (currently existing) personae: (...don't ask)
Ai-chan and Ame - Disdainfully calls them cousins, though he actually has no real problem with them. Nara - Absolutely HATES him. he considers Nara weak and doesn't even respect him enough to call him his 'cousin' (calling him his 'relative' instead). He often threatens to 'kick his pansy ass' or to get Kiku to throw him out...neither of which happen. Kiku - Calls him boss or cousin. He often talks about the things Kiku doesn't allow him to do, such as getting drunk or badmouthing people...not like he always listens.... Nei-chan - Thinks she's the best one in the bunch, aside from Kiku. If asked about her, he talks about her as if he has a crush on her (though that isn't possible of course). Character Name: Nara - Spoiler:
Self-described as "a Japanese-American apathetic rebel"
Age: 19 (though Kiku is 20)
Appearance: (swiped from an old RP titled "Light Up")
"It could have been his outfit. The best description he could have given someone from the West was a take on their heavily made up rock stars mixed with a heavy gothic-punk influence. A fishnet top hung from his left shoulder, as if he didn't really mind leaving so much pale skin bared to the neon lights. Leather gloves covered his fingers, the material tinted slightly purple to match the bright streaks in his raven locks and the makeup that adorned his lips and eyelids. His eyes were outlined in black, which only served to give him a more apathetic and slightly Western appearance. Beneath the gloves, he had painted his nails purple, though he had no real intention of taking off his gloves that night. A purple and black tight fitting ripped top that showed his midriff clung to his frame, showing off the little muscles that he had. Loose leather pants, decorated with an assortment of chains were tucked into thick motorcycle boots. Nara didn't own a motorcycle, but no one needed to know that but him."
Customer or Employee: Both. Nara tends to come more as a patron (particularly for the drugs), but can be coerced to be on stage as well. Sometimes, when on one of his highs, he'll drag someone up on stage (when it's free) and give an interestingly sensual performance.
If you're an Employee, what type of job do you have?: When he is employed, he is a performer, though he often does not remember his performances afterwards.
Sexuality: Doesn’t really care, but he’s bi and tends to lean towards men.
Distinguishing Traits/Personality: Nara is the persona of purple or royal neon blue. He will dye two streaks of hair in his color of choice (usually purple), as well as paint his nails in the same color. He will move almost deliberately slow in order to accomplish anything. A lot of his sentences begin with 'Hmm' and contain the word 'boring'. He often enters the club normal and somehow or other ends up high while staying there, which turns him into a childish and sociable person.
When 'normal', Nara tends to give people blank looks, not really caring whether they like him or not. Apathetic, Japanese-American, and a rebel, Nara finds most things boring and seeks adventure. He is fascinated by anything that isn’t ‘normal’, such as the exotic drugs he seems to have stumbled upon, and that he can obtain in the club. He speaks plainly, occasionally punctuated with sighs or mutterings in Japanese or English that roughly translate as 'boring'. Nara also states the obvious, not caring if it is hurtful.
On stage or performing, Nara once again turns into a slightly different person. He is skilled at performance fighting, though he acts as if this too bores him. He could easily be described as 'boredly aggressive', though he tends to be the passive one in most situations. However, he does enjoy performing, so long as it is interesting. He seems to like being with the club's host, Yao. He doesn't disrespect the owner, though he isn't always as kind to him as he ought to be...not like he remembers the next day!
Things you are willing to do (threesomes, BDSM, etc):
He's willing to do almost anything, as long as it doesn't bore him...and a lot bores him. The most interesting sex he's ever had was when he was high, and so he tries to be during a good chunk of his experiences.
Things you will not do (non-con, shota, etc):
He won't act with anyone significantly older or younger than he is. He also won't do non-con, and to get out of something like that he'll feign being too high to do anything (even if he's barely had anything at all). He's also the type to just walk out of the club if the owner asked him to do something he didn't think was 'interesting' enough.
Relationships with his other (currently existing) personae: (If he remembers they exist...)
Ai-chan, and Ame - Doesn't know they exist...but if he did he would call each one his 'cousin'. Kaze - WISHES he didn't exist because Kaze hates him, but calls him cousin. If asked about Kaze, he tells stories about the other picking on him or beating him up for being weak. Kiku - Calls him cousin, though he sometimes forgets who Kiku is. He tends to get him in trouble, though he doesn't remember it... Nei-chan - Calls her cousin and will talk about her pretty kindly...when he remembers her. Character Name: Nei-chan - Spoiler:
Traditionalist and self-described "Big Sister" type
Age: 22
Appearance: Nei-chan represents Kiku's own love of the traditional style of Japanese dress. Nei-chan is often wearing summer or light-colored kimonos with matching accessories. Her clothing is always neat and precisely worn, and her accessories are always both fashionable and match her outfits. Nei-chan wears makeup that both ages the real Kiku, but also denotes a more conservative but still loving personality. She is generally seen with a smile on her face, or when thinking, a deeply thoughtful look. In some instances, she will carry a folded fan with her, which she uses to flirt with. However, she also has a protective look and aura about her, which she will use if she notices any of the employees being picked on by patrons. Despite being one of the favorite of the females, not much is known about her, as Kiku's male personae frequent Thorny Rose more than his females.
Customer or Club Employee: Employee.
If you're an Employee, what type of job do you have?: Performer and mediator. Kiku relies on her heavily, especially when things are not going so well with either Kaze or Nara. Her general cheerfulness, eagerness to please, and love of people make her a good diplomat when the situation is not quite bad enough for Kiku himself to step in. She is also the most agreeable to Arthur, which helps in her diplomacy role.
Sexuality: She is straight, though if asked the question she will hide behind her fan and not answer directly.
Distinguishing Characteristics/Personality: Nei-chan is the persona of traditional Japanese garments. Her kimonos are easily recognized as associated solely with her, whereas some of Kiku's other personae share similar styles of dress. Her favorite colors seem to be light blue or pink, though she also wears deeper shades of blue and even more earth-toned colors. She is careful to match all of her clothing and accessories, believing the discord to bring discord to her performances or the people she interacts with.
She is the least likely to get up on stage and perform wildly, though she is not above performing. When she is requested on stage, her hairpieces become more elaborate, usually flower arrangements or something else that would remind one of her character's home. Her performances are more teasing, making her a good choice for an opening act or an act when people are waiting for something more flashy. Her easygoing nature is ideal more for socializing than for forming sexual relations with the patrons, but whatever her job is, Nei-chan is always determined to do her best. She is as helpful to the other employees of the club as she possibly can be, making her more of a big sister type than a sexy performer.
Her name comes from her verbal tic, which is adding 'ne' frequently to the end of her sentences. She will drop the verbal tic when she is upset or talking about a very serious matter. She is also the most likely to open up and discuss Kiku's other personae, their creation, as well as their creator. She seems to be one of the few personae that do not completely upset Arthur (something Kiku finds is a miracle), though perhaps it is because she often refers to people by some title (Mister...Miss...etc.)
Relationships with Kiku's other (currently existing) personae: (They are all so wonderful, ne?)
Ai-chan and Ame - Calls them sisters or cousins and loves each one to pieces. She worries about Ai-chan the most, and if Kiku revives Ame she will have a whole new sibling to worry and vent about. Kaze - Calls him cousin. She is often one of the ones apologizing for his rudeness, and promising to discipline him later (though she can't actually do that since they are both Kiku). She often goes off when talking about him, upset that Kaze isn't being kinder to the people that are giving Kiku a job and helping him to become more social. Kiku - Calls him brother...sometimes even little brother. She loves him, but wishes that he would stop hiding behind his other personae because people would love the real him. Nara - She calls him cousin. If anyone mentions Nara, she will start in on him, lecturing about how he ought to do something else with his life or that the drugs will make him sick. If Nara is absent and Nei-chan is taking his place, she will often state that it is because he is sick from the drugs and that as soon as she is off work she is going to take care of him (so Kaze can't).
*** This small excerpt is all that is known about Kiku's other two personae, Ame and Ai-chan. Not enough is known about them to compile as detailed a profile as the three above, as Kiku is either reworking them (Ame) or they are so erratic or rare to perform that he rarely has need to create anything unique for them (Ai-chan and her 'erotic career' performances see her playing the role of her career). However, if Kiku should develop them further, they will also gain a detailed profile here. | |
