Activity Check #5

HELLO BEAUTIFUL WORLD~! It's that time again, time for Activity Check #5!

If you've been with us since the last activity check, this'll seem really familiar! Just follow the guidelines below and check in before the end!

For those that haven't been with us for one of these before, here's the deal--the check runs from Sunday, May 12th and will be open until Sunday, May 18th, 11:59PM EST. You'll have that entire week to check in with the requirements (specified below). If you do not check in, an e-mail will be sent to you, and you will have until the following Wednesday to respond before your account is deleted and your character put up for grabs once more.

If you will not be able to check in during this time, please make sure you have posted an absence in the Absence Thread.

Well, there's The Candle Road Inn and New Year, New Students. I'm also almost finished with the reply to Random Happenstance, Kiku, so if I don't get too lazy again you can expect it tomorrow.

As for my favourite song, that's a toughie, and I don't know if I have a favourite above all other songs, but I know ONE of my favourite. A bit odd of a choice maybe, but I like it. The Kings and Queens song from the sketch show Horrible Histories. Catchy AND educating, what more could a history geek ask for~?

@Lili: Because I imagine it as a sort of soundtrack to Arthur's backstory, the first verse is him first coming to NYC and deciding to not go to the School ("Packing my bags and giving the Academy a rain check"), and 'growing' as Mum, Punksy, and the rest emerge ("I get a little bit bigger, but then I'll admit I'm just the same as I was"). And the second verse is while he's living on the streets ("The path to Heaven runs through miles of clouded Hell", "'Cause after all, this city never sleeps at night") and eventually moving up to where he can actually have a home and sort of resolving that he's okay with who he is and that he can use his mutation to his advantage and have a comfortable life ("Now don't you understand, that I'm never changing who I am.").

Eventually I would like to do a sort of lyric comic for it~ ^^'
